Hsin Tung Yang, First Time Submitting, was Proudly Awarded TCSA’s Platinum Award

First time enrolling in the “Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards”, Hsin Tung Yang was awarded the “Platinum Award.”  On 18^th of November, Hsin Tung Yang’s President, Shen-Yang Mai, has represented the company to accept the award. 
 
Continuously advocating the concept of LOHAS, Hsin Tung Yang has led the industry toward a more eco-friendly production, and the devotion to the goal of sustainability.  In September, the same year, Hsin Tung Yang has received “The Green Leadership” award from “Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Awards.”   The two awards are the confirmation and recognition of years of devotion by Hsin Tung Yang’s domestic and overseas efforts for building a socially responsible corporation.

Both the food wholesale and retail industries have been rattled by climate change.  As early as 1988, Hsin Tung Yang has drafted and stared the implementation of an eco-friendly transformation.  Attacking eco-issues by constructing a waste water treatment system, and taking measures in reducing the emission of greenhouse gas, efficient power management, water resource and waste.  Hsin Tung Yang is the first in the industry to receive the “Green Factory Label.”

In various different retail channels related to tourism such as freeway service areas and airports shopping malls, Hsin Tung Yang has taken customers’ health and safety to be the most important objective.  The “Chen Hao Shih Hakka Restaurant,” established by Hsin Tung Yang, uses traceable, seasonal ingredients from small farmers, and infuses traditional Hakka flavors with modern creativity.  “Chen Hao Shih Hakka Restaurant” has been designated as traceable starred restaurant at the Taoyuan Int’l Airport for 3 consecutive years with one year receiving the highest honor of 3-Star Designation.

Caring the health of freeway users, and providing a smoke-free environment by advertising cigarette ashes free movement.  Hsin Tung Yang’s freeway areas become the pioneer to refrain from selling of cigarettes.  Furthermore, removing plastic utensils with bamboo fiber utensils, leading consumers to join Hsin Tung Yang in saving the environment and sustainability.

Hsin Tung Yang has integrated the mission of social engagement with circular economy.  We promoted local farmers by hosting “Young Farmers’ Market” and other promotional events.  We also joint with TSMC Charity to help remote areas and donate to less fortunate in need of help.
