A Warm Promise Passed Down for Forty Years: Hsin Tung Yang and Hsing Fu Children's Home

The bond between Hsin Tung Yang and Hsing Fu Children's Home is a tale of love and inheritance spanning generations. From building a stable home to long-term emotional companionship, we are dedicated to creating a growth environment full of hope for children who have lost their family support.

Origin and Naming: Conveying "Hsin Fu" (Happiness) Through "Hsing Fu"

This bond began in 1987. To fulfill the wish left by founder Mr. Mai Hsin-fu to care for orphaned children, Hsin Tung Yang donated funds to purchase land and rallied colleagues to get involved, bringing the home to completion in 1990. In gratitude for this founding spirit, the home was named "Hsing Fu Children's Home" after Hsin Tung Yang founder Mr. Mai Hsin-fu, drawing on the homophone with "hsingfu" (happiness) to symbolize Hsin Tung Yang's deep blessing for the children and the hope that they might all regain stability and happiness there.

Inclusion and Support: A Chain of Supplies and Kindness Across Time

We have woven this care into the Company's daily operations. Considering that Hsing Fu Children's Home follows a Buddhist vegetarian diet, Hsin Tung Yang — a company that made its name in meat products — specially developed a range of vegetarian products to ensure that the supplies delivered for the three major festivals and Christmas all reflect respect for the home's beliefs. In addition, Hsin Tung Yang uses space at its stores and national highway service areas across Taiwan to set up charity invoice-donation boxes, gathering the goodwill of passing travelers and the general public to become a solid pillar of support for the children's home's stable operation.

Companionship Across Generations: From Environmental Protection to Cultural Inclusion

These acts of care have been passed down to the current President, Mr. Mai Sheng Yang, and his wife. In addition to personally leading the team each year in inviting Hsing Fu Children's Home to take part in an "Environmental Education Trip," the President's wife often appears at foundation events, thoughtfully preparing toys and snacks to bring the children extra surprises. The Mai's Hsin Tung Yang Foundation also continues to plan rich educational experiences for the children:

• Environmental and ecological education: Since 2020, it has held activities such as "Beach Cleanup Initiative," "A Promise to Seabirds," and "Lowland Forest Adventure," leading children to Lize Beach, Baimi Creek, and the forest to learn to cherish natural resources and cultivate environmental awareness.

Sustainable Care: Building Confidence and the Value of Respect

Whether an outdoor education experience or the annual Christmas thanksgiving concert to which it is invited, every gathering is a moment for conveying warmth. Hsin Tung Yang and the Mai's Hsin Tung Yang Foundation hope that, through long-term listening and companionship, they can help children who have experienced pain build values of care, respect, and friendship. In the future, we will continue to uphold our founding commitment to giving back to society, accompanying children as they grow through love and education and building up steadfast strength to face the road ahead.
